This. Thank you.In early 2007 I stumbled across a cover of some Bright Eyes song by some girl named Allison Weiss. I thought she sounded cool so I lurked her a bit and pretty soon I was a fan. I’ve literally watched her grow from a totally DIY red glasses pretty dress wearin guys-I’m-in-college-look-I’m-recording-YouTube-videos-on-my-MacBook-and-burning-CDs-of-myself to a real life cool cat with a record label and a manager and serious production value and a tour van and a band and all kinds of stuff.
In 2011 I backed a kickstarter to help her get from a to b and patiently waited while it all happened. yesterday I got my backer package and I’m stoked, half for me cause look at my cool shit and half for her because even though I’m a stranger from half way across the continent, I believe in her and I’m excited because I know it’s even further up from here. IT’S ALL HAPPENING YOU GUYS.
